Anaheim sits about ten miles from our floor in Yorba Linda, which makes it the closest large industrial base to us and the area we run the most same-day work into.

The city’s manufacturing is broader than its reputation suggests. Boeing runs space and defense work here, building satellites and missile systems. Northrop Grumman and Raytheon both hold a presence. Verus Aerospace’s Arden Engineering operates a 144,000-square-foot facility in the city. Around those primes sits a dense layer of structural metal fabricators, precision machine shops and electronics assembly operations running side by side across Anaheim’s industrial parks — and that layer is where most of our Anaheim work originates.

The work we see from Anaheim

Two things dominate. The first is tooling: stamping die details, form tooling and extrusion profiles cut after heat treat. Wire EDM exists precisely so a punch can be hardened to 62 HRC first and cut to size second, and Anaheim’s fabrication base generates a steady supply of that work.

The second is defense and space hardware. Ordnance housings, optics mounts, actuation detail and turbine components — usually in Inconel, titanium or hardened steel, usually with a print full of true-position callouts, and almost always ITAR-controlled. Marking matters as much as cutting on that work, which is why our fiber lasers run MIL-STD-130 and UID in-house rather than going out to a marking house and adding a week.

Processes that fit Anaheim work

• Sinker EDM — forging die impressions, deep ribs in H13 at full hardness, keyways and internal splines on finished shafts.

• Laser part marking — MIL-STD-130N, ATA Spec 2000 and UID with ISO/IEC 29158 grading reports.

Logistics

Ten miles means a courier run each way inside the working day. For expedite jobs, parts dropped in Anaheim in the morning can be cut and back with you inside our three-day expedite lane, and broken-tap rescue work is often same day. You are also welcome to drive parts over and collect them yourself; the shop is off La Palma Avenue.
