EDM SERVICES IN ORANGE COUNTY

Aerox is based in Yorba Linda, in the northeast corner of Orange County. That puts our floor inside a half-hour of most of the county’s manufacturing base, and it is the reason a lot of local shops use us as their EDM department rather than buying machines they would run at thirty percent capacity.

Orange County’s manufacturing base skews toward exactly the work EDM exists for: hardened tooling, thin-wall aerospace detail, medical instrument components and short-run production where the tolerance is the hard part.

What Orange County shops send us

Most of it falls into four buckets. Die and mold detail — punches, buttons, inserts and cavities cut after heat treat, so nobody has to grind back to size. Aerospace detail — thin webs and tight profiles in titanium and Inconel where cutting pressure would deflect the part. Rescue work — a snapped tap in a casting that already has forty hours in it. Marking — serialisation and data matrix applied in-house so traceability never leaves the building with the parts.

Processes on our floor

• Wire EDM — submerged 4-axis to ± 0.0001″, unlimited hardness, no burr and no heat-affected distortion.
• Sinker EDM — blind cavities, deep ribs and effectively sharp internal corners in fully hardened tool steel.
• Hole-popping EDM — 0.004″ diameter upward, aspect ratios past 200:1, and broken tool removal without scrapping the part.
• Industrial 3D printing — carbon-filled nylon, PC and PPS-CF for fixtures, jigs and functional prototypes.
• Laser part marking — MIL-STD-130 and UDI, with in-line grading before parts ship.

Getting parts to us

Anaheim, Placentia, Brea, Fullerton, Yorba Linda and Corona are close enough to drop off and collect the same day. Santa Ana, Orange, Tustin, Irvine and Costa Mesa are comfortably inside a half-hour run. If you would rather not drive, we collect and return by courier anywhere in the county.
